Cherry Berry Power Smoothie
Easy
Servings: 1
Prep: 10 minutes
Summary
Summary: XXXX
Want to get your antioxidants, probiotics, fiber and iron first thing in the morning, with a breakfast you can prepare in less than 10 minutes?
Then you need to try this smoothie recipe, courtesy of Angela Charlton, R.D.-N, and our Community Health and Outreach team at Morningside Urban Farm.
It's loaded with healthy-food superstars like chia seeds, tart cherry juice and Greek yogurt, plus an iron-rich "secret" ingredient you might not expect: spinach!
That's right, spinach makes a fantastic addition to all kinds of smoothies—and since it's currently in season at the Urban Farm, that's exactly what we're doing with it. It's an easy way to sneak more greens in to your (or a child's) diet.
Tip: After blending, add more frozen fruit or liquid as needed to achieve your preferred smoothie consistency.
